The method in general concerns the production of a contact (42) on the surface of a semiconductor (40) using screen process printing. The contact has good mechanical stability of the welding against ageing. It applies particularly to the contact made on the back surface of solar cells. The method also concerns the manufacture of a photovoltaic selenium solar cell (40) which is round and has a main star-shaped grid formed by six main electron collectors (47) connected to each other through concentric capillaries. The device enables the electrons formed around the selenium island at the centre of the cell to be concentrated without loss.
