The invention relates to a specimen loading device for testing power supply devices with an adjustable electronic load. Such specimen loading devices must be adjustable within a wide range and independent of the voltage of the specimen. For this purpose, the invention provides that electronically adjustable load resistances 1, 2, 3, 4 can be connected in parallel with the respective power supply to be tested via a selection circuit 5 with binary staggering in accordance with the number of bits required for the adjustment of coarse ranges. A voltage controller is simultaneously supplied with the adjusted actual current value, via a selection circuit, and with the nominal current value, adjustable by means of twice the bit number with respect to the bit number of the coarse range, as voltage values via a digital/analog converter 7. The difference amount of actual and nominal value is supplied to a current amplifier 8 which is fed from an auxiliary source UH and which, in turn, acts on the respective connected adjustable load resistances 1, 2, 3, 4 in a back-controlling sense. <IMAGE>
