PURPOSE:A foam showing sufficient rubber elasticity and excellent tear strength after primary crosslinking, prepared by adding a blowing agent and a crosslinking agent to a mixture containing 1,2-polybutadiene or an ethylene/vinyl acetate copolymer and a specified block copolymer. CONSTITUTION:A crosslinked foam prepared by adding a blowing agent and a crosslinking agent to a mixture of (A) 30-95wt% 1,2-polybutadiene and/or ethylene/vinyl acetate copolymer, each having a vinyl bond content >=70%, a crystallinity >=5%, and an intrinsic viscosity [eta] (measured in toluene at 30 deg.C) >=0.5, (B) 0-50wt% at least one rubber selected from the group consisting of natural rubber and a diene type synthetic rubber, and (C) 5-50wt% aromatic vinyl compound/conjugated diene compound block copolymer. The addition of component C makes it possible to obtain a foam of sufficient rubber elasticity and excellent tear strength by primary crosslinking. |
