PURPOSE:To provide a novel recording material for imparting a recording image excellent in light fastness and chemical resistance, obtained by carrying compounds respectively represented by specific formulae by a support. CONSTITUTION:A compound represented by a formula I [wherein A is C=O, C=NH, SO2, a formula II (wherein R1 is lower alkyl), a formula III (wherein R2 is lower alkylene), C=NR3 (wherein R3 is an aromatic compound residue or a heterocyclic compound residue capable of forming a conjugate system with C=N) or a formula IV (wherein R4 and R5 are an aromatic compound residue or a heterocyclic compound residue capable of forming a conjugate system with C=C), R is H or lower alkyl and Z is an aromatic compound residue or a heterocyclic compound residue capable of forming a conjugate system with C=NH] (e.g., 3-iminoisoindoline-1-one) and a compound represented by a formula V(wherein R' is an aromatic compound residue or a heterocyclic compound residue which may have a substituent) (e.g., phenyl isocyanate) are carried by the same support (e.g., paper) or different supports to obtain an objective recording material. |
