Device allowing the avoidance of any oxidation of products contained in containers such as concrete tanks or wooden casks. The invention comprises a reserve 4 containing the same liquid as that to be preserved and contained in the containers 2 which are each connected to the reserve 4 by a pipe 3, the said containers being filled without any space at their top by means of a upper hermetic cover 1 provided with a safety valve 7 operating both in compression and depression and having an air bleeder 33; the said cover 1 being put into position and held hermetically on the upper opening of the container 2 by means of an unbalanced lever 13 manually raised in order to be passed under the upper wall 16 of the container against which it pivots, allowing the clamping of the said cover. The invention can be used for ensuring the automatic ullaging of tanks or of wine casks. <IMAGE>
