摘要 PURPOSE:To eliminate the variance in joint performance and quality and to obtain a titled joint having high reliablity by heating the joint part of two metallic joint members having different material characteristics and the part near the same to a melting temp. or the temp. near the same then pressurizing both members in an axial direction. CONSTITUTION:Conducting current is supplied from a power source transformer 4 through a lead wire 5 and clamps 3 to joint members 1, 2 which are heated by the resistance heat generated in the projecting parts l1, l2 of the respective members 1, 2 according to the intrinsic resistance of the material. The current is conducted in the range of the heating part until the max. temp. is attained in the joint part and that the melting temp. or the temp. near the same is attained in the joint part and around said part. The conduction of the current is stopped when the above-mentioned temp. is attained, then the members 1, 2 are pressed by the clamps 3 under the pressure of the magnitude F1 (5,000-10,000kg with 10mm.phi) in the axial direction. The pressurizing is continued until the joining margin l is made zero and finally is flown out by the clamps 3 with the shear by the force F1, thus leaving circumferentially a burr 6. The burr 6 is removed and the intended transient joint is obtd.
