PURPOSE:To detect the top dead center due to microwave and the light of combustion flame separately from each other, by arranging a metallic cylinder around a metallic pipe incorporating a light-transmissive fiber to give the characteristic of a high frequency coaxial line. CONSTITUTION:One end of a center line 13 for connection is cut in the shape of a cross, and a metallic pipe 9 incorporating a light-transmissive fiber 8 is inserted to the center line 13, and thus, the center line 13 functions to connect the center conductor of the high frequency coaxial line and to connect a light- transmissive fiber 14 for connection. The other end of the line 13 is separated to the line 13 and the light-transmissive fiber 14 before a photodetecting element 15, and microwaves is connected as a coaxial core 16 to a high frequency coaxial line terminal 17. These parts are stored in a coaxial external conductor 18, and the center line 13 for connection and the coaxial core 16 are fixed by a supporting pipe 19 consisting of a tetrafluoroethylene resin. By this constitution, a sensor is attained which is effective for improving the combustion efficiency and the capacity of a diesel engine and is most suitable for the top dead center detection system due to microwave and the light of combustion flame detection system. |
