EXHAUST DEVICE FOR OUTBOARD ENGINE

PURPOSE:To prevent drainage from suction into an exhaust pipe by providing a slant outer surface projecting obliquely downward and outward in the intermediate portion of the lower end of the exhaust pipe for an outboard engine and providing on said lower end an outer surface extending more downward and inward on the outer edge of the slant outer surface. CONSTITUTION:An exhaust pipe 22 for an outboard engine is provided in the upper end with a drain hole 28, and a drain groove 30 defined by a pair of left and right ribs 29A, 29B is provided such that drainage can flow down along the outer surface of the exhaust pipe 22 to the intermediate portion between the neiborhoods of the upper end and lower end of the exhaust pipe 22. A portion sandwiched by the ribs 29A, 29B to form the lower end of the drain groove 30 is provided with a slant outer surface 31 projecting obliquely downward, and the exhaust 22 is provided on the lower end with an outer surface 32 extending more downward and inward of the outer edge of the slant outer surface 31.
