PURPOSE:To eliminate the multiple feed of forms and the deviation of original in scanning by deciding on the form feed timing of the 2nd and succeeding forms in plural-sheet copying and the start timing of original scanning on the basis of the rear ends of preceding forms. CONSTITUTION:When copying is started, an original on a platen 4 is scanned by an optical system 2 to specific width and its image is formed on a photosensitive body 2 as a latent image, which is developed by a developing device into a toner image and transferred to a form fed from a form supply system 3. At this time, the rear end of the form sent from the form supply system 3 is detected by a form rear end detector 6, and the original scanning timing and feed timing of the 2nd and succeeding forms are determined by the detection signal. Thus, the multiple feed of forms is eliminated and the deviation in original scanning is also eliminated. |
