PURPOSE:To reduce leakage of steam in between rotor shaft and nozzle box by providing nozzles on both sides of the nozzle box which is arranged in the center of turbine, and by disposing multiturbine stages symmetrically relative to said nozzle box. CONSTITUTION:A nozzle box 31 is arranged in the center of a turbine, and nozzles 36, 37 are disposed on its both sides back to back. Multiturbine stages 38, 39 are disposed symmetrically relative to the nozzle box 31. By this constitution, as there is no reversal of steam flow jetting out of the nozzles, resulting in the excellent steam flow, while the leakage of steam from a gas between the nozzle box 31 and the first stage of the turbine into a space M formed by the rotor shaft 32 and nozzle box 31 is reduced. |
