PURPOSE:To provide a blower in which a shutter is smoothly opened or closed by a rotating force due to a repulsive rotation a stator by a rotor. CONSTITUTION:When a motor 6 is driven, the stator 14 and the rotor 16 attempt to rotate in mutually opposite directions because the stator 14 and the rotor 16 are rotatably supported. Upon this occasion, although blast vanes 9 are mounted on the rotor 16, and a manipulating string 16 is attached to a pivotally supported take-up shaft 18 on the side of the stator 14, the stator 14 first rotates because the rotation resistance due to the blasting vanes 9 is larger than that on the stator side. by the rotation of the stator 14, the manipulating string 26 is taken up around the pivotally supported take-up shaft 18, and a connecting rod 4 is lowered until a projecting member 24 makes contact with a projection 28, to open shutters 3. When the shutter 3 is opened, further take-up of the manipulating string 26 is prevented, and the rotation of the stator 14 is stopped. When the stator 14 stops to rotate, the rotating force applied to the rotor 16 becomes larger and the rotor 16 starts normal rotation. When the switch is turned OFF, the motor 6 stops rotating, and the shutter 3 is closed by its dead weight and the actuating force due to an elastic member 25.
