PURPOSE:To attain a convenient controller by saving a program stored in a built-in RAM or erasing contents of memory while loading an external memory unit to the main body so as to save the program of device and to decrease the erasing time. CONSTITUTION:A sequence program is stored in the RAM 1 built in the sequence controller and the program stored in the RAM 1 is inputted from a program device 2. Plural external devices 3 connected to an output interface 13 are controlled by the stored program by the CPU 10 of the controller. Further, an external memory unit 5 is provided to the controller and the contents of storage are not erased even when the unit 5 is removed from the controller main body. Further, a sequence monitor program is stored in the CPU 10, the RAM 1 and a monitor memory 11 connected to the unit 5. Then, the program of the RAM 1 is saved while the unit 5 is loaded to the main body, and contents of the unit 5 are erased, allowing to attain a convenient controller. |
