PURPOSE:To simplify a control method, by allowing a plurality of recording electrodes partially immersed in ink to oppose a recording medium so that the leading ends thereof are contacted with the surface of said recording medium while selectively applying voltage to the recording electrodes. CONSTITUTION:An ink supply source 1 has a function for keeping the amount of the ink liquid in an ink tank 2 constant. A plurality of recording electrodes 3 are provided so as to be partially immersed in the ink and arranged so that the leading ends thereof are contacted with a recording medium 5 or spaced apart therefrom through an extremely slight gap. Voltage applying means 4 are respectively connected to a plurality of the recording electrodes 3 so as to be capable of selectively applying high voltage thereto and a paper feed mechanism 6 is further provided. By selectively applying high voltage to the recording electrodes 3, the ink is raised along the electrodes and reachs the recording medium 5 to perform recording. |
