1459112 Dressed plant seeds STAUFFER CHEMICAL CO 23 Aug 1974 [4 Sept 1973] 12209/76 Divided out of 1459111 Heading A5E [Also in Division C2] A crop seed has applied thereto a dressing comprising at least one compound of the formula wherein R 1 represents di-p-chlorophenylmethyl, phithalimidimethyl, pentachlorophenyl, pchlorophenyl, p-chlorophenyl, alkenyl, carbchlorophenyl, alkenyl, phenyl, haloalkyl, oxymethyl, N-alkylcarbamoylmethyl, monochlorobenzamidoethyl, dichlorobenzamidoethyl, monobromobenzamidoethyl, #-S-ethylthiocarboxylaminoethyl or dichloroacetamidoethyl; and R 2 represents p-chlorophenyl, alkyl, haloalkyl, α-hydroxytrichloroethyl alkenyl, chloroalkenyl, aminoalkyl, cyanalkyl, cyanochloroalkyl, monochlorobenzamidoethyl dichlorobenzamidoethyl, monohomobenzamidoethyl, #-S-ethylthiocarboxyaminoethyl or dichloroacetamidoethyl. The dressing serves as an antidote to protect seeds from injury by thiolcarbamate and/or acetanilide herbicides alone or mixed with other active compounds. |
