PURPOSE:To raise the quality of printing by eliminating the play of connection by connecting between a type wheel and the shaft of a motor to drive the type wheel by means of a cross metal member having a columnar shaft and a yoke having a V-shaped groove. CONSTITUTION:The type wheel (daisy wheel) 6 and the shaft 2a of a motor 2 to drive the type wheel 6 are connected by an universal joint 101 consisting of a wheel side yoke 102, a cross metal member 103 and a motor shaft side yoke 104. In this case, the shafts 105 and 107 of the cross metal member 103 are shaped into a columnar form, and the grooves 106 and 108 to be coupled with the shafts 105 and 107 of both the yokes 102 and 124 are shaped into a V form. The play of the connection can thus be much more reduced than in the cases of the conventional angular bar and groove. |
