PURPOSE:To reduce a vibration and a driving force of an optical distance meter by rotating the optical distance meter around revolving shaft parallel to an object to be measured. CONSTITUTION:An optical distance meter 22 is constituted of a spot light irradiating device 13 for irradiating light of a lght source 11 as a spot light by a lens system 12, and a photodetecting device 14 for forming an image on a one- dimensional photodetecting sensor 16 by a lens system 15 with respect to optical images S, T in a field of view, and the irradiating device 13 and the photodetecting device 14 are provided so that an irradiating optical axis 17 and a photodetecting axis cross each other at a prescribed angle A. The distance meter 22 is brought to a reciprocating rotation around revolving shafts 20, 23 parallel to an object to be measured P of a weld line, etc., and the position of the weld line P is detected from an obtained distance data. In this way, comparing with a conventional device for bringing the distance meter 22 to a reciprocating motion in the direction X, a vibration of the distance meter is small, and a power of a driving device for moving the distance meter is also small. |
