PURPOSE:To easily regulate the draining and flooding of water in a arable land with underground tillage by a method in which branch waterways leading to a supported culvert are connected to the main waterway, and a small gate for regulating water level and a water level and a water control gate with a pump are provided on the way of the waterways. CONSTITUTION:A supported underdrain 3 deeper than a mole drain 1 formed in an arable land 2 and leading to the mole drain 1 is led to a branch path 4 connected to a water resevoir or a main canal 5, and a water control gate 6 is provided bwteen them. A pump 7 for regulating water level and a small gate 6a for regulating water level are provided to the water control gate 6. Where irrigation is needed on the ground's surface, the water control gate 6 is closed, the pump 7 is operated, and water is pumped up to the branch path 4 to enable water level to be adjusted. When rain falls abnormally, the water control gate 6 is opened to lower water level in the branch path 4, thus preventing flooding of the arable land 2. |
