PURPOSE:To fix simply a head moving system in a standby state with low power by providing a braking mechanism locking the head moving system without using power when a disc turning system is turned off. CONSTITUTION:When a solenoid 30c is turned off, a brake disc 30b is in the state pressing and fixing a disc 30a for disc braking by a spring 30d, and a pulse motor 16a is locked. In energyzing the solenoid 30c, the brake disc 30b is moved in opposite direction, the lock of the pulse motor 16a is released, and moved in the direction of the arrow 1c. Since the power is applied to a control and driving circuit 31 and a head moving system control and driving circuit 17 through a power control circuit 32, when the power control circuit 32 is turned off and the control circuit is in the state not supplying power, the power is not fed to a fixed mechanism 30 via the control drive circuit 31. Thus, the stopping state is maintained with a minimum power. |
