<p>PURPOSE:To detect rotation magnetically by using a displacement detection ball which rotates according to a run of the main body and an X-directional and an Y-directional detection head which contact the displacement detection ball in mutually 90 deg. directions from the center of the ball. CONSTITUTION:A displacement detection part consists of the displacement detection ball 10 which has the surface layer made of a magnetic body for magnetic recording and rotates according to the run of the main body 7, and the X-directional and Y-directional detection heads 11 and 12 which consist of magnetic recording, reading, and erasing heads contacting the ball in mutually 90 deg. directions from the center of the ball 10. Consequently, displacement is detected without using mechanical frictional force and the displacement detection ball is rotated smoothly, so no special precision is required, thereby facilitating the assembly.</p> |
