PURPOSE:To obtain the titled yarn having improved evenness and permeability, by subjecting a mixture of cellulose ester, a water-soluble polyhydric alcohol of its plasticizer, and a non-plastic additive to melt spinning to give hallow yarn, extracting it with an aqueous solution of water system. CONSTITUTION:A mixture containing 100pts.wt. cellulose ester, 60-120pts.wt. water-soluble polyhydric alcohol having plasticizing action and 10-80pts.wt. non-plastic additive is subjected to melt spinning by the use of a ring-shaped spinneret to give hallow yarn. The plastic polyhydric alcohol and the additive are extracted and removed with an aqueous solution containing an inorganic or organic neutral salt. A glycerol polymer having 2-10 polymerization degree is used as the non-plastic additive, the extraction process is carried out at 40- 90 deg.C, and the concentration of the aqueous solution of salt is preferably 1- 20wt%.
