PURPOSE:To provide a composition for carbon fiber prepreg, composed mainly of a diaminodiphenylmethane derivative, a brominated epoxy resin and a diphenylsulfone derivative, and having improved tensile properties and water resistance without lowering various other properties such as heat resistance. CONSTITUTION:A composition composed mainly of (A) N,N,N',N'-tetraglycidyl diaminodiphenylmethane, (B) a brominated epoxy resin (preferably having a Br content of 16-50wt%) and (C) 4,4'-diaminodiphenylsulfone as a hardener. The amount of the component A is preferably 20-50pts.wt. per 100pts.wt. of the epoxy resin excluding the component C, and that of the component C is preferably 0.8-1.2 equivalent per 1 equivalent of the epoxy group. The tensile properties and the heat resistance can be further improved by adding a novolac epoxy resin in addition to the components A-C.
