PURPOSE:To improve physical properties such as clogging or the like of a head to improve the S/N ratio by providinga lower layer, which consists of a ferromagnetic metallic powder obtained by an evaporating method, and an upper layer, which consists of a ferromagnetic metallic powder obtained by a dry reducing method, on a nonmagnetic supporting body. CONSTITUTION:Thicknesses of the upper layer and the lower layer are selected properly within a range of 0.5-4.0mum, and a ratio of thickness of the upper layer to the lower layer is selected within a range of 0.1-10 in accordance with objective purposes. The ferromagnetic metallic powder obtained by the evaporating method is chained fine particles having >=1000Oe He and >=100emu/g sigmas, and the ferromagnetic metallic powder obtained by the dry reducing method is needle-shaped particles having 1000-2200Oe He and 100-180emu/g sigmas. A conventionally used vinyl chloride-vinyl acetate or the like can be used as a binder. |
