<p>PURPOSE:To manufacture a heat shrinkable covering material which is not peeled off by substantially removing its stress through such an arrangement wherein the end of a heat shrinkable tube is heated and softened and then formed into the shape of flange by being deformed, and the end of the tube is caused to overlap with a heat shrinkable sheet and they are integrally heated and pressure pasted to each other. CONSTITUTION:A heat shrinkable sheet 11 is placed on a flat steel plate 18 with its opening 12 caused to envelope a steel pipe 19 protruded from a metal mold 17 and said sheet 11 is held and fixed thereto, and the end of a tube 13 of a desired length is caused to cover said steel pipe 19 and then it is placed on the sheet 11 on the flat steel plate 18. Next, the lower end and its surrounding of the tube 13 is heated softened and spread laterally and a flange portion 14 is formed substantially perpendicular to the axial direction of the tube 13. The underside of the flange portion 14 is overlaid on the upper side of the surrounding area of the opening 12 of the sheet 11 and a joint 16 is formed by heating and pressure joining the two sheets at the overlapped portion 15 and the tube 13 and sheet 11 are integrally joined together. After cooled, the integrally joined tube 13 and sheet 11 are pulled out of the steel pipe 19 of the metal mold 17.</p> |
