The invention relates to the devices used on motor vehicles for indicating overtaking and change-of-direction manoeuvres of the motor vehicles. It includes, in parallel with the foot switch (ls) of the stop lights, an additional switch Ds-P3 which can be closed, independently of any action on the foot brake and simultaneously with the left-hand indicator circuit, by the knob M for controlling indicators in an additional position located, with respect to the stop position, beyond the position which actuates the left-hand indicators. The invention can easily be applied to equipping vehicles during assembly but may equally well be used on those which have already been assembled simply by installing the additional switch with a control knob which is different from that of the indicator lights. <IMAGE>
