PURPOSE:To markedly reduce printing noise, by a method wherein a magnetic ink adhered to the tip of a needle approaching a recording paper is attracted onto the paper by the magnetic force generated by an ink-attracting magnetic pole provided behind the paper. CONSTITUTION:The stroke of the needle 9 is so set that the needle 9 does not make contact with the recording paper 36 even when it flies away from an armature 11. When an electric current is passed to a magnetic ink attracting coil 18, a magnetic ink 26 contained in an ink tank 22 is attracted by a magnetic flux generated between the magnetic poles 21, and the tip of the needle 9 is wetted with the magnetic ink 26. When an electromagnet 7 is excited, the needle 9 is struck by the armature 11 to fly toward the recording paper 36, and the ink 26 adhered to the tip of the needle 9 is adhered to the paper 36 by the inertia thereof and the magnetic force of the ink-transferring magnetic pole 37, thereby forming a dot. Accordingly, since the needle 9 does not impact the paper 36 or the magnetic pole 37, printing noise can be reduced. |
