PURPOSE:To shorten a processing time by making coincidence when a picking point included in a rectangule, where a vector connecting a coordinate point obtained by subjecting a stored coordinate to the same coordinate conversion as a display figure is a diagonal line approximates the operated value of a line generator. CONSTITUTION:Segment information expressing a figure is subjected to rotation or the like in a coordinate conversion processing unit 1 to become device coordinates. The picking piont also exists in the same device coordinate system. A vector area discrimination processing part 2 discriminates whether the picking point is included in the area of the rectangule surrounded with diagonal lines of vectors or not on a basis of picking point information 5. In case of discrimination, the difference between the coordinates of the start point and the end point of the vector and the coordinates of the picking point are calculated, and resultant signs are used for the discrimination. Only areas including the picking point are sent to a line generator DDA unit 3 by this calculation, and an interpolation value of a dot row connecting the start point and the end point of the vector is obtained and is compared with picking point information 5 by a coordinate value coincidence detection processing part 4, and the vector close to the picking point is recognized as a picking vector. |
