PURPOSE:To improve the strength and accuracy of an object to be cast by segmenting finely the prescribed part of said object, setting the shape and size of each element according to the strength calculated by a finite element method and using a die manufactured in accordance with such calculated information. CONSTITUTION:The front nose 2 of an object 1 to be cast is finely divided to a rectangular or triangular element 6 and each element 6 is set at the shape and thickness size equal to the element shape of the strength calculated with an electronic computer by a finite element method in the stage of producing, for example, the front bracket of an automotive engine of an AlZn alloy. The above-mentioned imformation is inputted to, for example, a CNC machine tool for manufacturing a die for casting and the prescribed die is automatically manufactured by such machine. The front bracket having the front nose of the shape and thickness size equal to the strength calculated by the finite ele ment method is cast by using said die. The casting having reliability in terms of strength and high accuracy is thus obtd. |
