PURPOSE:To make the weight of a rim of a wheel at the side remote from a rotary shaft is made small, by coupling the ends of both center and outer spokes by means of a fastener at the intermediate position between a hydraulic rim so that both are tensed from each other. CONSTITUTION:A wire spoke 4 is devided into a center spoke 4 and an outer spoke 4s. The ends of both spokes 4, 4a are fastened and secured together by means of a turn-buckle type fastner 8 at the middle position between a hub 1 and a rim 2 so that they are tensed from each other. As a result, in comparison with conventional wheels having nipples provided to its rim, the weight of the rim section of the wheel is reduced so that the rotational inertia of the wheel becomes small. The effect varies with the square of a distance from the rotating shaft, and therefore, the nearer the position of the fastener 8 to the hub 1, this effect may become greater. |
