PURPOSE:To provide a titled device which can make mass production of a main spring and an intermediate supporting spring by constituting in such a way that a straight part and respective spiral spring parts at both ends of the straight part can be continuously formed from a piece of wire rod. CONSTITUTION:A piece of wire rod 27 delivered from a stacking part 5 is brought into contact with stoppers 31, 33 and is positioned in the longitudinal direction of a main body 1 then a rotating plate 51 is rotated 90 deg. to form bent parts 27a at both ends of the rod 27. The midway part of such rod 27 is grasped with a hook 77 and a rotating arm 61 is rotated about 270 deg. to insert both ends of the rod 27 to a pair of holding rollers 13 provided to respective movable bodies 87. A pair of the bodies 87 are then driven in the direction where the bodies approach to each other to bring said bent parts 27a into contact with the outside circumferential surface of forming rollers 153 thereby forming spirally both ends. A turn of spiral is thus formed to each of the two ends of the rod 27 and thereafter the spirals are successively formed at a pitch P according to the travelling of a pair of the movable bodies. Formation of spiral spring parts 27b consisting of a prescribed number of turns is thus completed. More specifically, the wire rod 27 is formed to a spring 197 provided with a straight part 27c and the spiral spring parts 27.
