In a height adjustment device of the upper mounting or deflecting mounting fitting for the shoulder belt of a safety belt system, in particular in motor vehicles, consisting of a locking device, attached to a vehicle body part (vehicle body), with a guide rail and with recesses arranged on both sides of a guide slot, into which recesses an assigned locking element engages which is arranged on a sliding piece bearing the mounting or deflecting mounting fitting, and with an actuation device for the locking device, there is the problem that the type of actuation device is always also fixed with the construction of the locking device. Therefore, the purpose of the invention is to design the height adjustment device in such a way that all the types of actuation devices can cooperate with the locking device. For this purpose, it is proposed to arrange at the point of the locking element (20) cooperating with the respective actuation device (47, 52, 57), a formation (30) for mechanically translating the direction of action of the force exerted by the actuation device (47, 52, 57) on the locking element (20) into the direction of action which brings about the unlocking of the locking element (20). |
