PURPOSE:To contrive the improvement of the spectral sensitivity by a method wherein a material having a band gap larger than the material constituting an active layer is thinly laminated at the surface of the active layer or at the interface between a substrate and the active layer. CONSTITUTION:A layer 4 made of a material having a larger band gap than the layer 1 is deposited on the surface of the active layer 1 formed on the glass substrate 3 to a thickness of 50-300Angstrom . Formation in such a manner causes a remarkable improvement of the photoconductivity particularly on the side of short wavelength and then the reduction of difference by a thin film and a thick film. For further improvement of characteristics, it is preferable to insert this layer 4 also to the interface between the layers 1 and 3. |
