PURPOSE:To perform high-precision developer control by detecting variation in characteristics of a processing solution and supplementing the processing solution, calculating whether the supplemented amount is excessive or deficient and correcting the amount, and finding the coefficient of correction of the supplemented amount and making corrections stepwise thereafter. CONSTITUTION:An exposed photosensitive material 5 is supplied to an automatic developing machine A and processed by being conveyed in the order of a developer tank 1, fixing solution tank 2, washing tank 3, etc., and a blackening detector 11 detects its blackening to supplement the processing solution through a supplementing means 8 on the basis of the measurement data. Further, a control strip is processed to input measurement data obtained by a measuring means 10 to a control means 9, and a correction supplementing means 8a calculates whether the supplemented processing solution is excessive or deficient on the basis of the proper supplemented amount and performs operation corresponding to the result. Further, the coefficient of correction of the supplemented amount is calculated from the excessive or deficient amount and the total supplemented amount required for the processing and the subsequent supplementation is corrected stepwise by multiplying the amount by the coefficient of correction. |
