PURPOSE:To prevent occurrence of hunting of an engine, by correcting the actual engine speed to drop the correction speed in the vicinity of the engine speed expected by basic control of a fuel injection means in case that deviation is caused between the actual engine speed and said expected engine speed at the time of idling operation of the engine. CONSTITUTION:In operation of an engine, a base injection quantity of fuel calculated by a controller 6 on the basis of the output of a vacuum sensor 12 and an engine-speed sensor 13 is corrected according to the vahicle data given from other sensors. Then, whether the engine is in its idling operation or not is judged from the output of a throttle-opening sensor 11. In case that judgement is that the engine is in its idling operation, whether the actual engine speed is in the vicinity of the engine speed expected by the above correcting process. In case that the judgement is NO, the engine speed is corrected to approach the actual engine speed to the expected value. On the other hand, in case that the judgement is YES, whether the deviation of the actual engine speed is smaller than a prescribed value or not is judged. In case of YES, correction is made on the engine speed, but in case of NO, the above correction is not made and control is finished. |
