PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for a signal line and a light guide for a connection with a monitor part and to improve operability by transmitting image information on a part to be observed which is obtained by an image pickup element from a transmitting antenna by a radio wave, and receiving it by a reception- side monitor part. CONSTITUTION:An endoscope device consists of an insertion part 1 and an operation part 2. When the insertion part 1 is inserted into a somatic cavity, etc., and the part to be observed is irradiated with light from a light source part 7, an image of light photodetected by an image pickup element 4 is converted by a signal conversion part 10 into a video signal, which is sent to a modulation part 11 together with an added synchronizing signal. The modulation part 11 adds the signal from a panel operation part 16 to the sent video signal, and the resulting video signal is used to impose amplitude modulation upon a high frequency signal which is generated previously. This modulated signal is amplified by a transmission part 12 and transmitted as a radio wave 14 from an antenna 13, and the signal is received by the antenna of a receiver and applied as a video signal to the monitor part.
