PURPOSE:To perform working with high accuracy without allowing a condenser lens to be deformed by the pressure of an assist gas by constituting a laser working head in such a way that the pressure of the assist gas introduced into a nozzle is not exerted to the condenser lens. CONSTITUTION:A flat plate 15 manufactured of ZnSe which is a material transparent with a CO2 laser beam 6 is provided between a condenser lens 1 and the aperture 7 of a nozzle 5 and is provided perpendicularly to the optical axis of the lens 1 in the position where the beam 6 passes. The space between the lens 1 and the aperture 7 of the nozzle 5 is separated to two spaces 16 and 17 by said plate 15. The spaces 16, 17 are further fluidly separated by means of a fluid seal 19 of a rubber O-ring provided on the outside circumference of the plate 15. A port 8 for introducing the assist gas is communicated with the space 16 between the plate 15 and the aperture 7 of the nozzle 5. The pressure of the assist gas introduced into the nozzle 5 is thus prevented from being exerted to the lens 1. |
