PURPOSE:To attain more abberviated dial service by writing digit numbers of a fixed part and a variable part of a dial number different in a part of it into an abbreviated dial storage memory and editing the number with a dial number inputted manually and transmitting the edited result to a trunk line. CONSTITUTION:The dial number from an extension telephone set A is received 1 and whether or not the received dial number is an abbreviated dial number is decided 2. A station dial number corresponding to the abbreviated dial and the manual input dial digit number are stored in an abbreviated dial storage memory 5. When manual input dial digit number information exists in the stored information read from the abbreviated dial storage memory 5 corresponding to the received abbreviated dial, the manually inputted dial and a fixed dial written in advance in the abbreviated dial storage memory 5 are edited 4 for the digit number. Then the dial edited by the dial editing means 4 is transmitted to the trunk line B as a connection request.
