In order to prevent processing losses to the greatest possible extent following integration in a radar receiver with coherent integration and in each case with a CFAR circuit in each Doppler channel, and to be able to provide further processing of optimum target data, a circuit is provided for selection of the target signal with the optimum signal-to-noise ratio. This target signal, together with the identifier of the associated Doppler channel, serves as a control signal for a controllable switch which forwards the target amplitude, obtained by value formation, of the Doppler channel with the best signal-to-noise ratio for further signal processing. <IMAGE>
