PURPOSE:To enable utilization of a memory device of a VTR by providing a digital interface circuit of input corresponding to output position of an A/D converting section in the recording side of a digital signal and providing a digital interface circuit of output corresponding to input position of a D/A converting section in the reproducing side. CONSTITUTION:A digital interface circuit 10 is added to the recording side of a PCM processor and a digital interface circuit 20 is added to the reproducing side, and recording and reproducing of not only analog data but also digital data are possible by changing switches SW1 and SW2. A device provided with an interface circuit that can performs transfer of data can be connected to the recording side or reproducing side digital interface circuits 10 and 20. For instance, various devices that handle digital information, digital data of a facsimile, character data of a telex, etc. can be connected. |
