The subject of the present invention is a device intended in particular for the construction of flues of the type comprising an internal conduit and an external conduit, which are distinct and coaxial, consist of the superposition of coaxial burnt clay elements and are separated by a suitable clearance, characterised in that the external coaxial elements consist of hollow burnt clay blocks 2 which have, on the visible external faces, grooves 3a, 3b perpendicular to each other and forming a network having the configuration of brickwork, that is imitating an assembly of facing bricks arranged in a plurality of rows, which grooves may or may not be filled with a suitable material, in particular clay and/or colouring agents of various shades imitating joints between facing bricks, and in that the said clearance between the external 2 and internal 1 superimposed coaxial elements is filled with a material 6 for thermal insulation.
