<p>PURPOSE:To greatly reduce the squeak of a disk brake, by making the pushing force of a disk pad higher at the downstream side than at the upstream side as to the direction of rotation. CONSTITUTION:A cylinder member 34, which is used to push a disk pad 28 on a disk rotor 21 to make the pushing force of the pad higher at the downstream side than at the upstream side as to the direction of rotation, is pivotally coupled to a vehicle body member 22 at the rotation input side of the disk rotor so that the cylinder member is oriented in the tangential direction of the disk rotor and can be swung in the direction of the diameter of the rotor. As a result, the disk pad 28 is prevented from being excessively pushed on the disk rotor 21 when the pad is brought into pressure contact therewith, so that the squeak of a disk brake is greatly reduced.</p> |
