PURPOSE:To produce a casting mold having an excellent collapsing property by incorporating a specific amt. of the methyl ester of the aliphat. dibasic acid expressed by the formula into a peroxide compsn. for a furan cold box as a dilute stabilizing agent. CONSTITUTION:An acid curable resin (furan resin, etc) and peroxide compsn. are added and kneaded to and with a refractory granular material (zircon sand, etc.) and a sand mold is formed. Sulfur dioxide in the form of gas or aerosol is blown thereto by which a casting mold is produced. At least one kind of the methyl ester of the aliphat. dibasic acid expressed by the formula (n=1-10) is incorporated as a dilute stabilizing agent at 30-100pts.wt. into the peroxide compsn. Ketone peroxide, etc. are used as the peroxide. |
