<p>The present invention relates to a machine for end-to-end joining of the electrodes of electric arc furnaces. Machine characterised in that the bell 3 is equipped, between its clamping chucks (mandrels), with a centring chuck (mandrel) 7, in that the upper chuck (mandrel) 4 is equipped with an expandable stop 8 limiting its opening, and with pinions 9 for driving the clamping spiral of the retractable jaws 10, and in that the device 6 for driving the bell 3 in rotation consists of a screw 11/nut 12 assembly for translational displacement of the bell 3, of motors 13 for final screwing of the electrode, and of a device 14 for driving the bell 3 in rotation and braking the bell 3, the assembly of the control elements being pneumatically controlled. <IMAGE></p> |
