Light aircraft. Improvement to the mounting of propulsion units on light aircraft of the type comprising a chassis supported by wheels, a seat, a wing form and an engine 15 mounted on a frame of the chassis, the said engine 15 being arranged behind the seat and driving, through a reducing gear, a drive propeller 32, characterised in that the frame comprises two support bars 14 linked together by two suspension bars 40-50, the latter being fixed to the said support bars 14 with the interposition of vibration dampers, the engine 15 being suspended by one end from one of the suspension bars 50 while its other end, on the same side as the output shaft 17 extends, receives fixedly a plate 21 for supporting the reducing gear 20-25 which is linked by a constant velocity joint to the said output shaft, the said plate 21 being suspended, fixed by its upper edge, from the other suspension bar 40. <IMAGE>
