PURPOSE:To reduce a device at its size by irradiating a picture of an optical system directly to a photosensitive body at the time of copying, and at the writing time, moving a mirror immediately before the photosensitive body to guide the light of the optical system into a liquid crystal light bulb device. CONSTITUTION:In a copying mode of a copying machine, a moving mirror 4 is located on a position a, b or d in accordance with a desired variable power ratio and an original on an unshown platen is irradiated to the point (a), (b) or (d) on the photodetective body 1 in accordance with the variable power ratio to form a latent image. When a receiving signal of a facsimile or an output of a printer is to be written, the moving mirror 4 is stopped on a position (e) through the position (c) and the irradiating light irradiates the center part of a writing device (liquid crystal shutter light bulb device) 3 in accordance with a signal from an unshown device and is used as a device light source. The latent image formed on the photosensitive body 1 by copying or writing is developed 5, and transferred to a transfer/fixing part 6. Thus, the copying or writing is attained by using a single mirror and light source, so that the device reduced at its size and the workability is improved.
