PURPOSE:To provide a thermal transfer recording medium capable of obtaining a homogenous and smooth coloring material coated surface and capable of transferring a uniform coloring matter image with high resolution onto a recording sheet such as an ordinary paper, by incorporating a crude rubber into a coloring material layer, in a thermal transfer recording medium in which a coloring material layer comprising a heat-fusible substance is provided on a base. CONSTITUTION:The thermal transfer recording medium comprises at least one coloring material layer on the base, which layer comprises a crude rubber. The rubber preferably has a Mooney viscosity of 15-115, more preferably, 30-105. Accordingly, the coated surface becomes extremely homogeneous and smooth, thermal transfer property is enhanced, and particularly, uniform images can be transferred (printed) with favorable resolution. |
