PURPOSE:To prevent leakage of an ink irrespectively of the relative positions of an orifice and an ink-storing container, by a construction wherein a pressure- regulating means capable of setting the pressure of an ink contained in an ink- storing container in a liquid jet recorder to be not higher than the atmospheric pressure is provided in the container. CONSTITUTION:The ink-storing container 13 is provided at a position higher than the orifice in a recording head 11, and the pressure-regulating means for setting the pressure inside the container 13 to be not higher than the ink pressure at the orifice part (atmospheric pressure). The ink is supplied from the container 13 to the head 11 by the movement of a meniscus formed in proximity to the orifice, in a quantity according to the quantity of droplets ejected from the orifice. |
