PURPOSE:To lower the Curie temperature of a metal oxide magnetic substance holding properly high coercive force to be required for a memory by a method wherein the metal oxide magnetic substance is constructed of a material to be shown by a general formula. CONSTITUTION:A metal oxide magnetic substance is constructed of a material to be expressed by the general formula (wherein, Me=Ba, Sr and/or Pb; A=Ga, Al, Mn and/or Cr; D=Co, Bi, Gd, Tb, Ho, Dy, La, Eu, B, Si, Sm, Y, Sn, V and/ or Yb; (m), (m') indicate respectively the valence numbers of A, D; 0<x<=0.8, 0<y<=0.4 and moreover x>y; 5<=n<=6). To manufacture a magnetic film using the metal oxide magnetic substance, a perpendicularly magnetized magnetic film 2 is provided on a substrate 1. |
