PURPOSE:The titled prepreg which can form an FRP pipe having well-balanced strength in the longitudinal and circumferential directions, made by laminating a scrim cloth of reinforcing fibers in a specified direction on one side of a unidirectional prepreg. CONSTITUTION:Reinforcing fibers 2 (e.g. carbon fibers) arranged parallel and unidirectionally in the sheet form are impregnated with a thermosetting resin to form a unidirectional prepreg 1 (the reinforcing fiber content of about 30- 80wt%; the thickness of about 0.02-1mm.). Then a scrim cloth 3 made of a plain- woven cloth of glass fibers, etc. (the unit weight of about 10-80g/m<2>; the thickness of about 0.01-0.1mm.), having a difference in yarn density between the warp and fill directions, is laminated on one side of the above-mentioned prepreg so as to bring the direction of less yarn density in line with the direction of the reinforcing fibers of the prepreg, giving the scrim-cloth laminated prepreg (numeral 4 refers to a release paper).
