PURPOSE:To reduce the overall weight of a car ferry by forming car carrying decks arranged in multi-layers in a ship into multiple band-like partial decks serving as travel paths of car wheels. CONSTITUTION:Car carrying decks arranged in multi-layers in a ship are formed into multiple band-like partial decks 3 serving as travel paths of car wheels. These band-like partial decks 3 are fitted on support cross beams 4 arranged at a distance to each other. Fences 3a preventing the wheels from dropping are formed on both side edges of the band-like deck portions 3. Accordingly, car carrying decks are arranged only at the portions where car wheels pass and move, thereby the hull weight can be largely reduced and the production cost of the hull can be decreased.
