PURPOSE:To prevent decrease of image density and increase of fog by preparing a developer composed of a carrier, a toner powder, and a fine power of a polymer of additionally polymerizable carboxylic acid, having an average particle diameter smaller than that of the toner. CONSTITUTION:A developer is prepared by mixing a carrier, a toner powder, preferably, having an average particle diameter of 3-20mum, and a fine powder of a polymer or copolymer of an additionally polymerizable carboxylic acid having an average particle diameter smaller than that of the toner, preferably, 0.05-5mum, still preferably, 0.1-2.0mum in fine powder of 0.01-10wt%, preferably, 0.05-2.0wt% of the toner. As the carrier, particles of iron, nickel, ferrite, etc. coated with a resin, having an average particle diameter same as that of the toner or up to 500mum. |
